Christian Convention is held each year in February on the sprawling sand
banks of the river Pamba, 16 kms east of Thiruvalla town.
Believed to be the largest Christian gathering in Asia, it is attended by devotees from all over India.
Religious discourses, singing of hymns and faith healing sessions are organized. Scholars of Christianity from India and abroad also arrive to expound on the gospels.
The Convention aims at the spiritual revival of the churches in Kerala. It was launched in 1894 AD by the Marthoma Church of Kerala.
