Mammals : Spotted deer, bonnet macaque, Indian hare, porcupine, gray langur, four-horned antelope, Asian palm civet, mouse deer, barking deer, Indian flying fox and a huge population of leopards.
Reptiles : Crocodiles, monitor lizards, cobras, pythons and variety of snakes and vipers.
Invertebrate : Crabs, insects and a wide range of spiders.
Butterflies : Blue Mormon, jezebels, eggflies and sailers are among 172 species found here.
Birds : Nearly 275 species, including golden orioles, minivets, robins, hornbills, woodpeckers, paradise flycatcher, kingfishers, drongos and mynas.
Flora : Mangroves, teak-bearing forests, moist deciduous and western subtropical trees. The park is blessed with spectacular sheets of colorful flowers including karvy shrubs.
Buddhist Kanheri Caves, Krishnagiri Upavan (known for lion safari and tiger safari), Vanrani mini train, Deer Park and Gandhi Memorial are some of the famous attractions within Sanjay Gandhi National Park
Trekking trails – The park also makes a perfect trekking tour with some of the good treks up to the ranges.

Safari Timings: Morning 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and evening 2.20 pm to 5.20 pm (closed on Monday).

By road, the park is connected to top cities of Maharashtra through buses and chartered vehicles.
Four rest houses and two camp sheds are available within the park area for the visitors to reside. One can contact the wildlife authorities for bookings.
